PickupStorage runs a managed warehouse in Cape Town where every customer's items are labelled, inventoried and stored securely. Here's how the process works from arrival to return delivery.
Item labelling and inventory
Every box and item is labelled — either by us at collection or on arrival. This is how we make sure specific items can be retrieved on request without disturbing the rest of your storage.
Controlled access
The warehouse operates on controlled, supervised access. Customers do not access the warehouse floor directly — this protects your belongings and keeps the space orderly.
Security
Our facility uses restricted-entry access controls and staff-supervised handling. If you need specific details for insurance or compliance purposes, we're happy to confirm what's applicable at the time of your quote.
How items are organised
Items are stored on shelving, with fragile and heavy items handled and placed appropriately. Labelled archive boxes and furniture are kept in easy-to-retrieve positions where possible.
Return-request process
When you need items back, message us with what you need and where to deliver. We schedule a return delivery to your address in Cape Town.
Customers do not access the warehouse
Because we operate as a managed storage service — not customer-access self-storage — the warehouse itself remains staff-only. Your interaction happens at your door, not at our facility.

- Message us on WhatsApp, phone or email. We arrange a return delivery to your address.
- Is insurance included?
- Yes. Your goods are covered under PickupStorage's insurance policy with OUTsurance while they're in transit and in storage. No separate cover is required.
- What items can't you store?
- Perishables, hazardous materials, firearms, illegal items and anything prohibited by South African law.
