What is PickupStorage?
PickupStorage is a door-to-door managed warehouse storage company in Cape Town. We collect your belongings from your home or office, store them in sealed wooden units inside our secure warehouse at 19 Fisher Avenue, Epping, and deliver them back when you need them.
How much does storage cost in Cape Town with PickupStorage?
Storage costs R850 per 6.3 m³ unit per month, billed in whole units. There is no deposit. Collection is a once-off R900 from your address, optional carrying help is R400 once off (plus R200 per extra unit), and return delivery is quoted separately.
Do you collect my items?
Yes. We collect from homes, flats, student residences and offices across the Cape Town metro, plus Kraaifontein, Stellenbosch, Paarl, Somerset West and Strand.
Are my belongings insured?
Yes. Insurance through OUTsurance is included with your storage at no extra cost.
How much fits in one 6.3 m³ unit?
One unit gives you 6.3 m³ of space and typically holds the contents of a studio or bachelor flat — a bed, couch, TV, fridge, washing machine and about 10 boxes. Is there a minimum storage period?
The minimum is one month. You can store month to month for as long as you need.
How is PickupStorage different from self-storage?
With self-storage you hire a truck, move everything yourself and visit a unit. With PickupStorage we do the collecting, storing and returning, so you never need to drive to a storage facility.
