Storage Prices in Cape Town

Storage is billed at R850 per unit per month, and each unit holds 6.3 m³ — roughly the equivalent of a small room's worth of boxes and furniture. You book whole units, with one unit as the minimum. We don't ask you to guess a unit size yourself: send us your item list and we'll work out how many 6.3 m³ units it adds up to, so you only book as many as you actually need. As a rough space guide, that works out to approximately R135 per m³ per month — but remember, storage is billed at R850 per 6.3 m³ unit per month, not by the individual cubic metre.

The per-unit monthly figure on your quote is the whole monthly figure — there is nothing bolted on afterwards.

If you'd like a hand getting items packed onto the truck or carried into your home on return, we can allocate one person per booked unit to help with loading and carrying. This is a once-off charge of R200 per person — it's not a monthly fee, and it's entirely optional.

Collection and delivery are the only costs outside the monthly storage fee, and they are quoted before you book. Collection from your address is a standard once-off fee of R600 from our warehouse at 19 Fisher Avenue, Epping. Return delivery is quoted separately at the time you ask for your items back; nothing is charged for storage days you don't use.

Storage bills go wrong in predictable ways: deposits you have to chase, insurance sold separately, rate increases buried in a contract, and unclear labour charges. We removed those. Your rate is a fixed R850 per unit per month, insurance is already in it, there's no deposit to recover, and if you no longer need a unit your monthly total drops.
